Senior Finance Manager (Remote – U.S.)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to build and lead our financial planning, performance management, and decision support capabilities. This is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on translating operational performance into actionable financial insights.

This position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in an environment where they can enhance and scale existing processes—someone who can create structure, drive accountability, and partner closely with operations to improve performance across a multi-site healthcare organization.

This role reports directly to the CFO and will work cross-functionally with Operations and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) leadership.

What You’ll Do

Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Own the annual budgeting process across departments
  • Build and maintain driver-based financial models
  • Lead rolling forecasts and scenario planning
  • Translate operational drivers (volume, payer mix, staffing) into financial projections
Systems & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability through financial systems, tools, and automation
  • Enhance and streamline reporting and forecasting processes using available technology
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors on system implementations or tool enhancements as needed
  • Leverage modern tools (including automation and emerging technologies) to reduce manual work and improve insight generation
Performance Management & Business Partnership
  • Partner with Operations and RCM leadership to monitor performance
  • Develop department-level scorecards to track progress against plan
  • Analyze variances and identify actionable insights
  • Support decision-making with clear, data-driven recommendations
Dashboarding & KPI Development
  • Design and implement a dashboard suite across key areas:
    • Revenue cycle performance
    • Site and provider-level economics
    • Labor and cost efficiency
  • Ensure reporting is timely, consistent, and aligned with company strategy
Financial Reporting & Executive Communication
  • Own the monthly financial reporting package, including variance analysis and key insights
  • Prepare leadership reporting and develop and maintain Board-level reporting decks
  • Ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and clearly communicate business performance and drivers
Financial Insight & Strategic Support
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities proactively
  • Support strategic initiatives including growth, payer strategy, and cost optimization
  • Help leadership understand the key drivers of financial performance
Collaboration with Accounting
  • Partner with internal accounting team to ensure data integrity for reporting
  • Leverage existing accounting infrastructure for accurate financial inputs
  • Focus on interpreting and utilizing financial data, not owning transactional accounting
Team Structure
  • Dedicated in-house accounting team (AP/GL and Payroll/GL)
  • This role will leverage and partner with accounting, not replace it
  • CFO provides oversight of technical accounting and financial strategy

  • Healthcare experience required, preferably in:
    • Multi-site or practice-based environments
    • Revenue cycle–driven organizations
  • Experience in high-growth or private equity-backed environments is a plus
Skills & Capabilities
  • Advanced financial modeling (Excel proficiency required)
  • Experience building budgets and forecasts from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of operational drivers in healthcare (volume, service and product mix, RCM, reimbursement)
  • Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., NetSuite, Athena, Power BI, or similar), with the ability to integrate data across platforms to support reporting and decision-making
  • Experience designing or owning KPI reporting and dashboards
  • Experience preparing executive-level and Board-facing materials
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes through automation or system enhancements and translate data into clear, actionable insights
